Hi Not to worry; I know how busy this site is and I'm grateful of any and all help you can offer. I downloaded and ran the ESET online scan. No threats were detected so I don't have a report log to post. I've uploaded a screen shot just to verify. Thanks for your help with this.

Please rescan your system with Malwarebytes Antimalware. If there is no malware found, then your logs a clean and you are good to go. We need to remove the tools we've used during the cleaning of your machine. [/a] Ensure the following is ticked: - Activate UAC
- Remove disinfection tools
- Create registry backup
- Purge system restore
- Reset system settings
[/ul] Then click Run. The program will run for a few moments and then notepad will open with a log. Please paste the log in your next reply. Once you have the log file saved, please reboot your system to complete the clean up process. Your system looks clean and your logs are fine. Unless you want something else done, you are done and free to go.Final word from me: Surf safely, and watch when installing or letting anything add itself to your system. Remember, the best security is not on your system but in the chair in front of it. Take care and thanks for sticking with us in this rushed time.

Hi I rescanned using Malwarebytes Antimalware and it came back clean with no threats being found. I've downloaded Delfix and run it. As requested, I've attached the log so hopefully everything will look okay . Thank you so very much for all your help with this and it's now a huge relief to know that there are no traces of malware of viruses on my laptop. I'm guessing the periodic high disk usage and memory use is down to the running processes you mentioned that are running. If you know of anyone who could give me any tips on what can be shut down without causing problems to the running of my laptop (I notice Cortana seems to be unkillable; just turns right back on), or of a forum that you recommend that would be fantastic. Massive thanks once again and thank you for you guidance, support and endless patience - all are very, very much appreciated. Attachments:DelFix.txt (790 B)

Tofu, You are welcome for the help and anytime you need it, come back. As to information and tips on Win10 (and Windows in general), you can try the following sites: GeeksToGoBleeping ComputerWindows 10 ForumThe first two are great; the last one I am still reading info at but it seems to be very helpful. Good luck and have a great Fall / Winter!!
