Really sorry to hear about your wife's injury, hope she gets a speedy recovery!! I've tried clicking the link to "if you think there are still risks, click here", but it just brings me to Norton power eraser, and it would ask me which file i want to erase, and in that regard i have no clue. I've attached some screenshots, hope it helps.

Please download the following tool from Symantec and run it - tool is hereReboot your system and tell me how it runs now? Still same ProxyDNS error?

Hey man not sure why but whenever I click your link it brings me back to this thread again, I also tried to manually type the address in my address bar, in which it just brings me to www.Symantec.com, and I can't seem to find the tool in the website..

I still seem to have the same problem, running the scan again once again tells you that "SecurityRisk.ProxyDNS" has been "Resolved"

That utility should have reset your DNS settings but we will try a different route.
Please try resetting the Internet Options and see if that helps the ProxyDNS problem.
Click on Start > Control Panel > Internet Options.
Click Advanced tab.
Click on the Reset... button on the bottom part of the page in the Reset Internet Explorer settings section.
Click Reset in the next window and follow the popups. Restart your system and see if the problem is solved now.
