Every day I get a notification from Norton that a treat as been removed. It is "SecurityRisk.ProxyDNS." Also every time I run a Norton scan on my computer, I get the same results that I only have 1 infected threat and it is high risk. Is Norton really removing it? why does it keep coming back every day? I stay away from sites that may potentially give me malware or viruses. I no longer trust any site I go on. I mainly just go on Facebook, my email( gmail) and Huffingtonpost and health websites that have articles I want to read( livestrong, verywell.com, dailydose.com) I do have HitmanPro on my computer which I thought was safe or told was safe by my boyfriend. Are any of the things I am doing wrong that could cause the SecurityRisk.ProxyDNS to keep coming back or is Norton just not really removing it?

Sorry for the delay in replying to you. Your programs and practices on your system are fine. What Norton is informing you of is that it detects a possibly Bad DNS server being used by your system / router.
Do you still get these warnings? What OS (Win10, Win8.1, etc.) are you running?

First, let's try resetting your network to defaults and see if that fixes the problem. This video shows the best way to do the reset ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mpks_HU9JOE ). Let me know how this goes for you; does this seem to fix the issue with the SecurityRisk warning?
