My HP laptop if often excruciatingly slow so I've taken every step that I know to do. I've done a clean install, turned off almost all startup apps, scanned with Malwarebytes (14 days straight) and Windows Defender Antivirus - nothing, ran Windows performance check, checked defrag (0%), using high performance power plan, Windows 10 is up-to-date. Yesterday, it took almost 20 minutes from cold bootup to be able to do anything. I often get Not Responding message when opening a Word or Excel file or a website. Today I took the attached document showing specs and settings to Geek Squad and the only thing the tech could come up with was that I must have a "hidden' virus....which he could check out for $150. What am I missing? Does this sound like I should go through your malware removal process? Thanks.
