Yes I have access to another system but I do not have a USB stick that large. I could get one. If I do, would you be able to help me get that computer to boot up or just recover data?

How large a USB do you have? (There are options so I need to know. We are going for bootable.)

Just a little heads up, it could be caused by the likes of Cidox, where the Bootkit VBR is in some way not correct, (just another Cidox symptom).

Thanks Quads, understood.
raymondo70, in addition to the USB size, can you tell me if you can burn a CD? Again, the information will help guide us in the tools and directions we take to correct what is happening. Oh, and is the infected system a laptop or desktop?

The affected computer is a laptop. I have a desktop with one CD bay. As far as I know, I can burn CD's as long as it's not from one CD to another. For the USB, I only have a 4GB stick but I can buy a larger one if needed. Just let me know what will work best here. Thanks guys!

Hey Guys, I was finally able to create a repair disc and run the scan. Other than that, I wasn't able to do anything. Not sure if the repair disc is meant to repair what's happening with my laptop but it could not repair it. Not sure if it's supposed to or not. When trying to boot up, I am still getting the "Missing Operating System" prompt. Attached is the FRST.txt file link. Wikisend was not working so I used Sendspace. Hopefully this works for you. If you need anything else, let me know. Thanks! www.sendspace.com/file/tdbtan

I'm Just doing some thinking on my Theory of Cidox and if Norton tooks something of it, or Cidox did not install properly and so the system goes to load the Cidox Partition and then on to Windows and can't I found a similar problem (YOU CANNOT DO AS THEY HAVE DONE AS YOU ARE A DIFFERENT SYSTEM) www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/518526/unable-to-boot-to-windows/Quads
