Did you make a Win7 startup disc or is it a Vista startup disc?

Windows 7 but User said "Thanks for the suggestions guys. Running Windows Vista on desktop and USB is not an option since F8 will not work on boot up" where does Vista come from as the first log at the beginning says Windows 7 also??
Some things in the data is wrong, The system being worked on was
Scan result of Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST.txt) (x64) Version: 10-11-2014 Ran by Ray Dahman (administrator) on RAYDAHMAN-PC on 10-11-2014 22:08:53 Running from C:\Users\Ray Dahman\Desktop Loaded Profile: Ray Dahman (Available profiles: Ray Dahman) Platform: Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 (X64) OS Language: English (United States) Internet Explorer Version 9 Boot Mode: Safe Mode (minimal)
Scan result of Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST.txt) (x64) Version: 24-11-2013 (ATTENTION: ====> FRST version is 365 days old and could be outdated) Ran by SYSTEM on MININT-E3ECELU on 24-11-2014 19:08:30 Running from G:\ Windows 7 Home Premium (X64) OS Language: English(US) Internet Explorer Version 9 Boot Mode: Recovery
365 days old and the OS mis match, did FRST by any chance as which OS to scan?? And it was run on the system that Windows won't boot up and not the friends PC.

My home desktop is running Vista. I did not create a repair disc from that computer. I created a repair disc on a Win 7 machine with 64 Bit OS. The laptop affected also runs Win 7 with 64 Bit OS. The affected laptop is the computer I ran the repair disc on in order to run the Farbar scan. The scan is a log from the affected laptop. That make sense?

I used the download link you provided. Assumed it was latest version. it didn't say otherwise. Should I find latest version and do it again? Will the older version not work?

I didn't provide a link, and FRST is always updated
Also there is something wrong with the log as that dates of files shows a shortcut.txt in the latest logs which came from where??

Ok. That link was provided a few days ago. Again, should I download latest version and run another scan or will the older version of Farbar ok?
