Yes it it!!! I'll have to post a pic when I figure out how. I've got the back & side walls tile'd, still got the wall behind the cooktop to go. Very tedious, having to cut out for all the outlets & windows & ends. A friend is letting me borrow his tile saw...lifesaver! And I'm kinda meticulous, which makes it worse!!! Anyway, it it looking very nice.
I have updated all the drivers from the HP site. Working on MS now. A couple of quesitons if I may:
I notice that there are 4 updates that are not checked for download/install when I open MS Update. The first one is a large .NET update dated 7-15-15 if I remember correctly (@ work now). I don't remember what the other 3 are right now. 1) Is that their way of telling me to install all the other updates before this one?
I also notice that they come arranged by type of update. I am currently downloading/installing/rebooting the first (.NET) catagory in chronologcal order, even though the are not in that order. I scrool through them till I find the oldest one & install it. 2) Is this the correct porcess? Or should I treat the entire update list as 1 entity & do all the oldest updates first/does it matter?

If an update is not checked then usually this means something else needs to be done first.
.NET software do in order of version(s); again this will let you know by either not being on the list or unchecked until a prerequisite is installed.

Just an update:
Installed all the .NET drivers except the latest one (KB2901983/still not checked). I'm installing all the system updates now (4 more left/1 on those remains unchecked). I have inadvertantly installed 2 system updates the were unchecked. The installed without any problem. I plan to start all the security updates next (about 90 of them).
Do you think I should check the .NET update & try installing it?

Sure; some of the other newer programs run better with the latest .NET framework installed. Sounds like so far so good. Glad to have helped; keep me updated.

Hey dibrisen, I'm down to 54 Security Updates left to install, going really well. I just got home, started the PC & got the pop up that Windows 10 is ready to install. I think I can install it anytime. Do you have any thoughts about installing it now verses finishing the updates & waiting to see if any bugs need to be worked out. Do you know if it is a pretty good OS? Just a little nervous trying something new.
Update:
Well I tried to install another security update & it wont let me, it just jumps right to the Windows 10 install. Again I'm happy to hear your thoughts! Thanks d.

I installed Win10 Home on this machine and I am very pleased with it. I actually like it better than Win8.1 and it does seem to run smoother and faster than Win8/8.1. I would say to go for it as long as your other programs won't run on it. If it is already downloaded and ready to install then there is really no reason to keep going through the other updates (if you are going to Win10, that is). Make sure that you have the Win10 ready drivers for your hardware just in case. I told the installation to check for updates and apply them during the install so there was no issues when Win10 setup was finished; the laptop just worked from then on (no need to update drivers, etc.). You may have to "repair" install some third party software and you will need to turn off the AV during the install.

Hey debrisen:
Windows 10 is acting a bit unsteady for me. The 1st istall attempt failed, I clicked "retry" & was successful. All seemed well. The next day I began getting an error message "Unexpected_Store_Exception" when I boot the computer. Not finding anything new on it. And now it has quit giving me the error pop-up. Still it is taking a while to boot (2 minutes). Once booted, seems reasonably fast. I have noticed that in the Help video clips, I am not able to see the video & it states "video not able to be decoded." I don't know if it's a problem with my PC or with the "tutorial clip."
The video diagnostic does not find any problem. Do you think I should try to reinstall it? I have not installed Norton or MS Office yet. I have not been on the web with it so far.
Update:
I'm getting a message now when it states that my system has encountered some errors & to please wait while it generates an error report. I've looked for the reports, but have not been able to locate them yet. I'm tried to do a "live chat" with MS Support last night, but the wait was too long & I gave up! I notice the system has slowed considerably.
If I reinstall, do I revert back to Windows 7, then try the same reinstall? Or is there a better way? Again, sorry for the ignorant questions, and your help is very much appreciated.
Update:
I went on the MS.com Support Forum & found instructions on creating the disks to do a clean install. I'll try that tonight.

Hey d, havn't done it yet...on call + lots of work, haven't had time. I did live chat with MS Support this morning. I was in line for an hour. When the chat started, I only had about 5 minutes before I had to leave for work. He did give me a link to make sure the PC is compatable (said that the MS Update software can falsely tell you that you are). He also said he could remote into my PC to see what the problem is. I thought is was very good customer service. He gave me a reference # for the chat so I could restart it when I had time. So that is my plan. Verify compatability, then have him see if there is fix for the error reports (which I have found). Worst case senario is back to Windows 7, which would be OK.
What do you think? I know the Malware issues with my PC are long gone...I really appreciate you hanging over my shoulder through this. It has actually been a bit of a learning experiance for me which is needed.
